Meet the Physicians

Dr. Karns is a native of Meadville, PA who obtained his undergraduate degree at Allegheny College before attending Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine for his medical degree. He returned to the Erie area to pursue his residency in Emergency Medicine at St. Vincent Hospital where he became very adept at procedural skills, which he also enjoys teaching his residents. He has a strong passion for medical aesthetics and strives to help every client reach their skincare goals. His down-to-earth demeanor is relaxing and puts his patients at ease.

Dr. Dawn Karns, DO - Owner

Dr. Karns is originally from Meadville, PA but also spent time on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. She graduated from Allegheny College with her undergraduate degree and then completed a medical degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine. After her residency in Family Medicine at St. Vincent Hospital, she stayed at St. Vincent Family Medicine seeing her own patients as well as teaching as faculty, providing both inpatient and outpatient care. She directed the residency wellness and procedure curriculum for 8 years and has a strong interest in skin health.

Chris and Dawn live locally where they enjoy raising their 3 children and being very involved with their education and sporting events. When they aren't attending soccer games, they are spending time with their families and friends in the surrounding areas.
